This cabinet is a built in for some extra storage. A few years ago I made some doors to cover another closet close to this cabinet. So I wanted the doors to match. The carving on the doors match some carvings on another door next to the cabinet. I wanted this cabinet to match the different elements in the room. One thing I really like about this style of panel is I use up a lot of scrap pieces of wood. The other great benefit is the doors are similar to louvered doors in that they allow sone air in and out. The original doors were made for the closet the hot water heater is in. So if there is ever moisture it can dry out. The carvings are painted to look a little like old rusted metal matching some hardware on the door in the room. Always fun getting to add a lot of different elements in a project.
